Clive Hodge was lucky enough to gain leniency from the Magistrate’s Court, in a matter where he is charged with possession of a controlled drug and importation of a controlled drug.
Hodge pleaded guilty to the charges on November 16, 2016.
Prior to sentencing Hodge, the court noted that its leniency stems from from Hodge attending drug counselling, his early guilty plea and words of remorse, in addition to his maturity.
He was ordered to pay a fine of $8,000 for the possession charge, and was given a 12 months sentence, suspended for 2 years, for the charge of importation.
Court records reveal that upon returning to the Territory on November 13, 2016, Hodge was found with marijuana seeds in his bag.
He is scheduled to make another appearance on September 8 to report on payment.
