The Cubs Scouts of the BVI Branch of the Scout Association returned home on Friday 23rd July 2010 after attending the 12th Caribbean Cuboree in Curacao during the 14th - 21st July 2010.
The cuboree was attended by more than 1000 Cubs Scouts from the Caribbean and South America. The Cubs Scouts took part in all the activities which included the opening ceremony, a parade through Otrabanda and Punda, a cultural presentation, cultural market, fox hunt, tours of Curacao, concerts, games and sports days, shopping, closing party and the closing ceremony. The Cubs Scouts were presented with the Baloo award during the closing ceremony.
The Cub Scouts were accompanied by Leader, Ms. Darlene Maduro and assisted by Ms. Ileta Potter, Assistant Commissioner and Ms. Nadira Singh, Secretary.
The Cubs Scouts would like to thank all who supported them in the many fund raising activities, special thanks to Mr. Nibbs of Auto Sales & Parts Ltd who has always supported the Scout Association and those who provided items that were used in the cultural market.
